Our principal business is the purchase and sale (exchange) of foreign currencies. We regularly have on hand the money of more than 50 countries. Whether buying or selling, we endeavour to do so at the best rates available in the region, and we do not charge commission or other fees.
Please let us know if you would like to advance order a particular foreign currency. In this way you can be certain that the currency you need will be available when you travel. There is no charge for this service. Likewise, if you wish to sell a less-common currency or a large amount, please call us in advance.
We accept payment in cash, bank debit card, and bank draft (payable to Wellington Foreign Exchange). We regret that we cannot accept payment by personal cheque.
Some countries withdraw banknotes from circulation (as happened in the Euro countries, when they changed currencies). Unfortunately we are not able to buy these notes. You may be able to redeem them on a future trip to the country that issued them.
